Introduction & Developer Identity
Welcome to BRICKSTRIKE, a fast-paced tactile arcade brick breaker game developed and published by Newgates (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains our commitment to transparency, detailing how information is accessed, handled, stored, and protected when you install, play, and interact with the BRICKSTRIKE mobile application on Android devices (Google Play package name: co.newgates.brickstrike).
We believe in privacy by design: BRICKSTRIKE is built so that you can enjoy intense trajectory-based brick breaking action without surrendering personal identity, location, contacts, or financial information. This policy is written to comply fully with Google Play User Data and Privacy Policy policies, as well as applicable international privacy standards.

Core Privacy Principles
Our data handling model for BRICKSTRIKE is governed by four core principles:
- No Forced Identification: We never require you to register an account, sign in via social media, or disclose your name, email, or telephone number.
- Transparent Advertising & Telemetry: Commercial third-party advertisements are not active in the current version of the game. Any future advertising integration will comply strictly with Google Play User Data policies, and this policy will disclose all relevant partner information.
- Sandboxed On-Device Persistence: 100% of your game progression (unlocked arenas, 100 campaign sectors, star ratings, energy rewards, and tactical configurations) is stored solely in local Android application storage on your physical device.
- Minimal Anonymous Diagnostics: Telemetry is strictly limited to aggregated game mechanics statistics and crash reports to verify game stability and balance across various Android hardware configurations.
Information We Collect & Generate
When you play BRICKSTRIKE, limited non-personal technical and gameplay telemetry is automatically collected through integrated Google Firebase SDKs. We do not collect direct personal identifiers.
1. Anonymous Gameplay & Interaction Telemetry (Firebase Analytics)
To evaluate level balance, verify difficulty curves across the 10 thematic arenas (from Deep Earth to Cosmic Nebula), and ensure game stability, the game logs pseudonymous, aggregated in-game events:
- Level Progression: Stage starts, level completions, failure events, level restarts, and abandonments, including sector number, chapter number, star ratings (1–3 stars), solve duration in seconds, and final score.
- Combat & Tactical Actions: Ball launch angles, bounce counts, special ball deployments (Fire, Zap, Bomb, 2x Ball), combo milestones, special brick detonations, and tap recall usage.
- In-Game Economy: Virtual energy earned from sector clearances and daily rewards, and energy spent on tactical abilities. (Note: Virtual energy has no real-world monetary value and is purely a local game mechanic).
- UI & Settings Engagement: Screen views (Home, Settings, Level Selector, Multiplayer Menu), audio toggles, and haptic feedback toggles.
2. Crash Diagnostics & Stability Logs (Firebase Crashlytics)
If BRICKSTRIKE encounters an unexpected exception or crash, Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects diagnostic reports containing:
- Stack traces and error classifications explaining the root cause of the crash.
- Device technical characteristics: device model, manufacturer, Android OS version, available RAM, disk space, and battery level at the time of the event.
- Non-personal diagnostic session keys: current sector number, chapter index, current score, and remaining active bricks.
3. Performance Metrics (Firebase Performance Monitoring)
We collect automated performance traces (such as cold app startup latency and UI frame rendering traces) to identify performance bottlenecks and frame drops across different Android hardware.
4. Device & Installation Identifiers
In accordance with Google Play Services and Firebase SDK standard operations, pseudonymous technical identifiers are generated by the operating system:
- Firebase Installation ID (FID): An automatically generated unique identifier used to manage telemetry dispatch sessions.
- Android Advertising ID (
AD_ID): Merged by Google Play Services / Firebase Analytics for aggregated audience demographic measurement and future advertising attribution if advertising is enabled. Players can reset or delete this identifier at any time in Android device settings.
Information We Do Not Collect
To ensure full transparency and avoid any ambiguity, the following categories of data are strictly NOT accessed, collected, stored, or transmitted by BRICKSTRIKE:
- Personal Contact Information: No real names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, or social media handles.
- User Account Credentials: No usernames, passwords, authentication tokens, or account creation mechanisms.
- Financial & Payment Data: No credit cards, bank accounts, purchase history, or billing information. The app does not integrate Google Play In-App Billing.
- Precise or Approximate Geolocation: No GPS, Wi-Fi location triangulation, cell tower tracking, or location permissions (
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION/ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). - Media, Photos, & Storage: No access to your photo gallery, documents, media files, or external shared storage (
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). - Hardware Sensors & Peripherals: No access to device camera, microphone/audio recording, Bluetooth scanning, or contacts list.
- Biometric Data: No fingerprint, facial recognition, or health sensors.
How We Use Information
We process the minimal, non-personal data described above strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
- Game Stability & Reliability: Identifying, diagnosing, and fixing crashes, bugs, and performance regressions across various Android devices.
- Game Design & Difficulty Balancing: Analyzing level completion rates, failure rates, and weapon economy usage to ensure all 100 levels offer a fair and rewarding tactical challenge.
- App Updates & Maintenance: Coordinating non-disruptive, secure in-app updates directly via Google Play Core Services.
- User-Initiated Ratings & Feedback: Allowing players to provide feedback or rate the game directly on Google Play using the native In-App Review API.
Third-Party Services & SDK Disclosures
BRICKSTRIKE integrates official Google developer SDKs and fetches non-personal runtime game balance parameters from a static endpoint. We hold our third-party service providers to strict privacy and data protection standards:
Purpose: Anonymous telemetry, aggregated gameplay statistics, crash logging, and app startup performance monitoring.
Data Handled: Pseudonymous device identifiers (Firebase Installation ID, AD_ID), app interactions, crash stack traces, hardware diagnostics.
Firebase Privacy and Security Documentation ↗Purpose: Checking for and downloading latest app releases directly from Google Play, and presenting the native Google Play rating dialog.
Data Handled: Standard Google Play service handshake and version compatibility verification.
Google Privacy Policy ↗Purpose: Fetching non-personal runtime game parameters (ball speeds, area-of-effect blast radii, initial energy rewards, and privacy policy URL updates).
Data Handled: Standard outbound HTTP GET request headers (IP address necessary for TCP/IP network transit; no user data or gameplay telemetry is sent to GitHub).
GitHub Privacy Statement ↗Advertising Policy
Current Application Status: In the current release of BRICKSTRIKE, commercial third-party advertisements (such as banner advertisements, interstitial video ads, rewarded promotional videos, or native ad feeds) are not active.
Future Advertising Integration: To support ongoing game development, level expansions, and multiplayer features, we may introduce mobile advertisements in future updates. If advertising is integrated, it will be delivered through certified, industry-standard advertising SDKs (such as the Google Mobile Ads SDK / AdMob) that adhere strictly to Google Play Developer Program Policies, Google Play Families Policy guidelines, and international data protection laws.
Advertising Identifiers & User Control:
- The application build includes declarations for the Android Advertising ID (
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) and Privacy Sandbox attribution APIs (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_IDandACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION) for anonymous measurement and future ad attribution. - Your Privacy Choices: You retain complete control over your advertising identifier. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads. Opting out of ad personalization ensures that any future ads shown will be contextual rather than personalized based on your browsing behavior.
Multiplayer & Game Modes
BRICKSTRIKE features a dedicated tactical duel system designed with complete privacy in mind:
- VS Computer (Available Now): The active 1v1 tactical duel mode matches you against an on-device computer artificial intelligence (
ComputerAIController). The opponent AI evaluates board state and calculates tactical trajectories entirely inside the local device memory. No network packets or opponent data are transmitted over the internet. - Future Multiplayer Modes (Coming Soon): Planned future modes (Online 1v1 Matchmaking, Local Same-Device Friends Mode, and Local Hotspot Offline Duel) are currently non-functional preview placeholders with informational modals. No socket servers, matchmaking queues, or peer-to-peer networks are active in the current release.
Local Storage & Data Persistence
All user progression, game states, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using Android’s sandboxed SharedPreferences system:
